I can’t believe that I stayed up and shot the moon this morning. My wife was making fun of me because I was talking about this since 6:00PM and started getting my gear ready. I think it finally hit her that photography is a passion of mine and I love to shoot whatever I can even if I sat in my backyard alone and snapped away for a few hours. There is something about it that is hard to explain to others that are not into photography.
I didn’t drive an hour out of town like some hardcore guys did, I just set up my tripod in my back yard and brewed some hot tea, listened to some music on my iPhone and documented something that doesn’t happen very often. Every now and then I checked status updates on Facebook to see if there were any friends out there doing the same thing… and there was. It was a cool feeling knowing that I wasn’t alone shooting in my back yard after all. To my photog friend Trey, I hope your images came out great and you aren’t too tired tomorrow to welcome your new baby into the world!
