Main Floor Photography

I have been working extremely hard getting the word out about my architecture and interior photography services at Main Floor Photography the past few months and shooting on average 2 homes each day. To some that may not sound like much, but the amount of work and detail I put into my work definitely pays off. I always try to out do my last shoot and offer my client something different. I recently did a backyard photo shoot for Karen Parks, ASID designer and owner of Associate Interiors.

The ability to utilize off camera flash has really become a tremendous asset to me. Scott Robert Lim taught me how to use it for portrait work, but the same concept of calculating flash power and mixing ambient light with flash is an invaluable skill to have. I attribute my success in architecture and interior photography to lighting as well as unique perspectives and offering my client something that they haven’t seen before. Creating images for real estate agents that showcase features in a home is so much fun for me, because I love to see craftsmanship and design concepts and being able to display it to a potential homebuyer. The MLS doesn’t show homes like this and I feel that I am in a sense bridging real estate photography, and product photography together and presenting it on the MLS.

Heilig Family | Lewisville, TX Portrait Photographer

Meet the Heilig’s! This session was a lot of fun; not only for the fact that her kids were silly and had a fun, mischievous spirit like all boys their age, but because Jessica is a friend that I have known since the early 2000′s. This is a location that she scouted and picked herself, and when we met that afternoon, I LOVED it and it will definitely be on my location list from now on.

Jason Castro {Behind the Scenes}

From time to time I have an opportunity to do something truly awesome. For a few years now, I have been doing shoots for my church (Irving Bible Church) located in Irving, Texas. I have recently been recognized as a contributing photographer to their monthly publication called “Chatter“. The Chatter team is comprised of some top notch creatives that produce an award winning publication. I am blessed to be a part of their team and give back to my church in such an exciting way. IBC has a state of the art facility and a phenomenal staff, by the way.  Recently, Jason Castro, from American Idol Season 7, and his band was rehearsing for their Dallas, Texas show and they utilized Irving Bible Church’s recording studio.  I had the opportunity to capture these rare images of the band rehearsing. The cool thing for me was not only getting to see these guys in person and meet them, but to see how they worked together to put a arrange an piece for their fans. They wanted to make sure that it was perfect and completely unexpected. Seeing talent like this in the rawest of forms creating music was something that is hard to put into words. I spent a few hours listening and documenting with my camera. Stephen called me earlier this week and thanked me for the images and wanted to forward them on to the record producers. Safe travels during your tour guys!
