Preston + Leanne {Engaged}

Meet Preston and Leanne, they are getting married in 5 months! We had a blast shooting all around Downtown Dallas and in the Deep Ellum and Uptown neighborhoods. Most of these locations were great finds for me and were a lot of fun too. Of course we encountered a few of the ‘locals’ that hang around the city streets, but I think they even enjoyed watching us shoot in their backyard.  A special thank you to my lighting assistant Katie. The best part of shooting this series was using the existing environment. One of my favorites was the location under the overpass with the converging leading lines. I’ve always wanted to shoot something like that and Preston and Leanne were open to anything. Another one of my favorite things to do is manipulate the existing light in post production. The scene on the park bench was shot at around 4:30PM. There was still plenty of daylight, but I manipulated the image to look like they were shot in the evening with an overhead light shining down on them. I think this session was bar none one of my favorites because they were provided a variety of styles in one session. There are some urban, fine art, and traditional images that they will be able to use for their wedding planning. From image guestbooks, to announcements, whatever. I wish them all the best and look forward to working with them again.
